Peak and Off-Peak Season Dates
Our 2009 Peak Season is Friday, May 22 through Monday, September 7. Cabins can only be rented weekly (from Saturday to Saturday) during our Peak Season, except we do allow a three-night minimum from Friday, May 22 (Memorial Day weekend) | June 13 and then August 22 | September 7 (Labor Day weekend). December 25, 2008 - January 3, 2009, is also considered Peak Season. During these dates, Peak Season rates will apply. All cabins require a two-night minimum stay during Off-Peak Season. There are special rates for Birkebeiner 2010 dates, listed below.
Check-In and Out Times
During the Peak Season, check-in time is 3 p.m. and check-out time is 8 a.m. The rest of the year, check-in time is 3 p.m. and check-out is 12 noon unless someone else is arriving that day, then check-out is 10 a.m.
Booking Fee
Cabin stays of 2 or 3 nights will be charged a booking fee of $25, plus tax. Cabin stays of 4 nights or longer will be charged $50, plus tax. This Booking Fee will be charged when the reservation is made, along with the deposit. This Booking Fee will not be refunded if a cancellation is made. Motel stays are not charged a Booking Fee.
Reservation Deposits
When making a reservation during the Peak Season, we require a $1000 deposit, and for Off-Peak reservations, we require a $500 deposit for weekly stays or one night's rental rate for less than a week stay. Deposits are payable by credit card over the phone or by check received within seven days of booking.
Cancellation Policy
During Off-Peak Season, our cancellation policy is 7 days prior to arrival for cabins and 48 hours prior to arrival for motel rooms. This means that if you cancel at least 7 days or 48 hours before your check-in time, you will receive a refund of your one night's deposit. If you cancel within the 7 days or 48 hours, we will keep one night's rent plus tax. There is no cancellation fee for Off-Peak rentals, other than the Booking Fee mentioned above. During Peak Season, our cancellation policy is 30 days prior to arrival. This means that if you cancel at least 30 days before your check-in date, you will receive a refund of your $1000 deposit, minus a $50 cancellation fee. If the cancellation is made within 30 days and we are able to re-rent the cabin, you will receive a refund of your $1000 deposit, minus a $50 cancellation fee. If we are not able to re-rent the cabin, the $1000 reservation deposit will be not be returned (no additional cancellation fee would be charged).
