Grand Pines Resort, Home of the Original Famous Dave's, is Hayward, Wisconsin’s premier year-round resort. We feature fully furnished, rustic cabins with beautiful split log interiors and stone fireplaces. The air-conditioned cabins are loaded with authentic antiques from the golden eras of fishing, hunting, fur trading and logging. They are as nostalgic as days gone by, from when screen doors slammed and floors squeaked. The kitchens are inspired by Grandma, but have all the amenities of the modern age.

Our resort consists of 22 cabins and 10 motel rooms located on Round Lake. We offer one-, two-, and three-bedroom single story cabins and three-bedroom loft cabins. The cabins have full kitchens, and we provide all bed linens and one set of bath towels per person, plus basic supplies in the kitchen and bathrooms. Most of our cabins have at least one gas fireplace, a Jacuzzi tub, and a screened porch. All cabins have FREE high-speed Internet (not wireless). All of our summer cabin rentals include use of a pontoon boat for the week (see more information below). We do not have accommodations for pets; however, there are kennels in nearby Hayward. There are no fire pits or fire rings on the property, and we do not allow guests to build open fires on the lawn or beach areas. You are allowed to bring a contained metal fire ring or pit. You must supply your own firewood. More specific amenities are listed below.

The Cabin Store at the Resort Office has a wide selection of gifts for people of all ages. There are many apparel items and souvenirs to take home. We also offer snacks, beverages including wine and beer, Famous Dave's sauces and sundries. Movie rental is also available in the Cabin Store.

Round Lake is very clear and clean - great for swimming and all types of water recreation. The shoreline in front of most of the cabins has a sandy bottom with very few rocks. There are two sand beaches on our resort - one by Cabins #2 & 3 and one by the Motel. There are also two playgrounds for children - one by the Resort Office and one by Cabins #27-29. There is also a sand volleyball court at this location.

All peak season cabin rentals include a 21-foot Premier pontoon with 60 HP Yamaha motor. Pontoons are generally available from May through October as well, depending on the weather. During off-peak season, pontoons are not included with cabins; however, they can be rented for $125 for half day or $200 for a full day. Pontoons have a full tank of gas when they are picked up and should be returned that way. The only place on Round Lake to purchase gas is at the Round Lake Marina. The pontoons have life vests and maps provided, but not depth or fish finders. We also have two aluminum fishing boats available for rent. They are 16-foot boats with 15 HP motors. They can be rented for $50/day or $25/half day. To rent the boat without a motor, we charge $25/day. Life vests and seat cushions are provided with the fishing boats. Guests can bring their own boats of any size and can dock them at their cabin at no charge.
